The EmbedCore apps (Gadget and EmbedCore Docs)

The apps read, index and search the folders you choose, entirely on your computer. Your files, the text and meaning extracted from them, your search index and what you search for are never sent to us or to anyone else. You don’t need an account to index or search your files.

The apps connect to the internet only for tasks such as downloading the search models and other components they need, checking for and downloading updates, and, where applicable, verifying a license. These connections never include your files, their contents or your searches.

This website

• Early-access and launch emails. If you join the list, we collect the email address you enter. The form is processed by our form provider, Formspree, which stores the submission and forwards it to us. We use your address only to email you about early access to EmbedCore and its launch, and we’ll delete it if you ask.
• Visit statistics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views. It doesn’t use cookies or build a profile of you.
• Hosting. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes standard request information, such as your IP address, to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.

The browser demo

The demo runs entirely in your browser. The books you pick and any text you paste are processed in your browser tab and are not sent to us. To run, your browser downloads the demo’s code from jsDelivr and the small search model from Hugging Face; like any website request, those providers receive standard request information such as your IP address.

Cookies

This website doesn’t set cookies for tracking or advertising.

Your choices

You can ask us to delete your email address or tell you what we hold at any time. Each email we send also includes a way to stop further emails.

Changes

If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. If a change affects how we use your email address, we’ll tell you before it takes effect.
